A Testimonial About Online Book Marketing

Kaylin's McFarren's Testimonial:

I recently had the opportunity to work with Smitty in regard to marketing my new release, Flaherty's Crossing. All I can say is every dollar has been well-spent. Two-Fer! Free Online Conference and Sample Media Release

Usually I adjust media releases for blogs so that they look more like articles or personal letters and that's really what they were intended for. Many bloggers and newsletter and Web editors just print them as-is--either because they don't know they can--even should--change them or because it is more work to do so. Promo for Peanuts

On my local RWA loop, one of the other writers asked what types of promo actually work to introduce an author to new readers. Wow. If I knew the answer to that one, I’d be able to retire to Maui next week. I sort of use the shotgun method myself. I spray the news about my newest release, DISTRACTING THE DUCHESS in every outlet I possibly can and hope that some of it hits the targets.

And one of things I use is book trailers or bookpeeks, as they are sometimes called. Now I know some… Continue
