Here are two more reasons why you should be on Twitter:
1. My http://www.bookmarket.com website's Alexa rank has gone from 169,000 to 134,500 in five weeks. The only change in my online marketing strategy and activities during that time was a renewed participation and active posting in Twitter.com.
2. Yesterday, I connected with an editor at the
New York Times. I'm scheduled to do an interview with one of his reporters in the next couple of weeks.

Several people have recently left this network because they didn't like the fact that I have my book cover featured on this website.
As the founder of this network (and the administrator), I am allowed to feature somethings that others are not able to. That someone would see this as competing with them (since they had published a book on self-publishing) is both short-sighted and incredibly naive.
Personally, I support all my competitors and have done so for many, many…

Check out a great video put together by Steve Harrison on why the National Publicity Summit is such a great program. Of course, Steve is biased since he and his brother Bill organize it (with a lot of help from their assistants and friends).
The National Publicity Summit will be held this year in New York City on April 22 to 25th. It should be a great program. You can find out more about the program and watch the video at:…

What is the first rule for marketing books? It is this simple rule: repeat, repeat, repeat. Repetitive exposure before your core audience is the key to selling books. You have to continually be in front of your core audience on a regular basis. That's one reason for this free newsletter.
That is also why I've been repeatedly featuring my Ten Million Eyeballs online event in this network. 1. Because then when you are ready, you can easily sign up. 2. Because Ten Million Eyeballs is…

Be sure to use a professional book cover designer. It can make the difference between meager sales and bestseller sales. Even if you are only selling online direct to your customers, you need a book cover you can be proud of, one that anyone would be as equally proud to display on their websites or give to their friends.
For a list of such designers, see

RainToday.com, a website for professionals who want to grow their business, offers a weekly a newsletter called
The Rainmaker Report. In an issue last year, they pointed to an article on their website about Three Profitable Branding Models for Experts by Vickie K. Sullivan.
It's a great article for anyone thinking about building a platform, including authors. Most of the examples in the article were authors. A great read. Check it out here:…

I thought this was a very well-done video. Very good production values, fun to listen to, great to watch. Happy holidays!
It's been snowing heavily in Taos, New Mexico. I had to get help getting out of a ditch today when I parked too close to the road and got stuck in a rut. I parked there to help someone else get out of ditch. I was successful in helping them, but then they took off without helping me, even though they knew I was stuck as well.…
