Nothing Is Impossible With Jesus

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
Hebrews 11:1

The other night Chase and I were out playing fetch with Zeke. Chase was chasing Zeke around while Zeke was fetching the ball. It's a fun game that the boys like to play. Sorta like tag, but Zeke is always it! Chase and I were chattering away, when he looked up and noticed that the stars were starting to come out. "Look Mommy," he said, "there's a star!" I asked him if he made a wish.

He didn't know what I was talking about, so I told him that whenever you see your first star in the sky, you should make a wish. And I recited the saying to him, "Star bright, star light..." So he repeated it, then he made a wish. Then I said, "Ok, now ask Jesus for your wish." And he started laughing and said, "It's a pretty wild wish Mommy!" My reply to him was, "Well, nothing is impossible with Jesus!" And he said, "You're right!" And then he stopped and prayed his wish to Jesus. It was so cute, seeing him standing there in the middle of the yard praying.

I didn't ask him his wish, I left it between he and Jesus, but I love that fact that Chase believes that NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH JESUS!!

He has seen Jesus do some really cool stuff in his little life and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt, he'll see more!

I remember the story of Joshua who needed more daylight to win a major battle, so he asked God to stop the sun from going down, and He did! (Joshua 10:1-15) Wow ... talk about cool! Can you just image saying to God:

"Hey God, can you just give us a little more daylight here , so we can see to fight these men?" Joshua asked and believed and God granted him his request.

The Word tells us: For nothing is impossible with God (Luke 1:37)

Man, that is a promise that I want to hang onto! And hey, the next time you see your first star, make your request to Jesus, let Him show you some really wild stuff!


Father, thank You for giving such faith to my little Chase. He never questions You, he simply believes that You can do anything! How wonderful You are! Thank You for that promise that nothing is impossible with You!
