I don't know about you, but I spend a lot of my life waiting: I got married later on in life, God called me to the ministry later on in life, I live with chronic illness and disability that I am waiting for God to attend to in His perfect timing and plan for my life, I wait to become less computer-challenged so that I can catch up with all you guys who can do all sorts of stuff I salivate over, and I wait for God's leading to do and be what He wants me to do and be when He wants me to do and be it. Whew!

Is it any wonder that God inspired George and me to include questions and prayers about waiting in our emotional recovery workbook for Christians, Encouraging Words for Life's Tough Times? Each short chapter contains a closing prayer like this:

Father, thanks again to You and Jesus for being with me. It's a hard thing to talk about, but even if what is hurting me never ends completely, having this special relationship with You makes it worthwhile and bearable. Thank you for helping me to accept the life I have and for being with me always.

Well, there you have it! It's our relationship with God that makes all things in this life bearable. Loving and relating to Him, others and yourself in a balanced, emotionally healthy way gives true meaning and purpose to life.

George and I look forward to hearing from you and supporting you as you make the changes you need to make so you can live the happy, purposeful life God intended for you all along.

Warmly, with all blessings,

Pastor Sharon Billington

You right Sharon, we do have a lot in common. I still can't add friends.
