The Book Marketing Network

For book/ebook authors, publishers, & self-publishers

Several points: 192 photos -- and counting! Check them out.

1. Congrats to all the people who have joined this network. I've seen a lot of people helping other people already. That's why I founded the network.

2. Please note that I don't OWN this network. It's not my site. It's your site. My site is BookMarket.com. That's where I sell things and control the content. Here I don't control the content. You do. I just started up this network so people could share.

3. We lost one person from this network yesterday because she was offended by a swear word on the comment page of one person. She asked me to ask people not to swear. When I told her that such a request isn't really my role, she quit the site. Too bad. Her loss.

But, really, this is not my site. I don't want to be the dictator, father figure, mother figure, or whatever. I'm just one member, a friend to many of you.

Perhaps, though, we could try to keep swear words to a minimum. It's easy to make any point without the use of such words. Personally I don't have a problem with such words, though I rarely use them now. In my college days, every other word was the F word. That was the only way my friends could understand me then. It was the all-purpose verb, adjective, noun, adverb, and interjection. Also sometimes used as a conjunction. Never used as a preposition. Not sure why.

John, the offering of this being our site is extemely generous but, like it or not, you really are the 'dad' here... smile -- kinda figured you lost a member but actually, I believe, that is why we have a private section to send out messages to members on a one on one basis so that certain things can be handled privately and diplomatically -- but, all in all, the momentum is great... now if everyone would just be less timid and take advantage of other's campaign ideas that would be tremendous!
