A group

I live in San Diego, California-the city actually-with a wife, mother-in-law, four dogs and a bird. We have the requisite morgage and SUVs. I was surprised to find so few writers calling San Diego home. Anyway, I started a group called San Diego, California Writers-went through the entire listing of Ning and invited those who call San Diego their place of residence. Of course, anyone and everyone is invited-the more the better.
What I have in mind, maybe, is to gather enough folk to have a book fair somewhere in the city.
I noted there were several people from Seattle-I was raised there-born in Brooklyn but, raised in Seattle where I graduated from Chief Sealth High School-class of 1967. Yeah, I'm a bit on the older side now though I still have some years before retirement. The main purpose for me getting into writing is to see my words in print-I know I'll never be rich. The book, "SMALL GIFTS: very short stories with a touch of faith", has just that-very short stories which hopefully give the reader the idea that faith can work miracles. Between the stories-all fiction-are INTERLUDES. They tell the true story of our little Maltese female dog (one of the four)-rescued and near death, her recovery, and life as she now knows it. I've never seen a format like that before so I thought it a bit unique and interesting. I'm working on another and am making good progress though it will be quite a while getting it done.
