For book/ebook authors, publishers, & self-publishers

In my last blog I said I'd say something about myself and the book I'm now trying to promote.

First, about myself (with reference to writing): I've written a non-fiction best-seller in India on the philosophy of an Indian saint named Swami Vivekananda; a 5,000-word story of mine features in PRIZEWIINING ASIAN FICTION (published by Hong Kong University Press); and I've just completed co-authoring (along with one other writer) two volumes of essays for Macmillan India.

Apart from this, I've done some freelance creative writing that includes fiction and poetry; and, of course, there's this children's fantasy novel I want to talk about, THE FANTABULOUS FENS, which ireadiwrite Publishing electronically published on January the 25th, 2010.

THE FANTABULOUS FENS is about an out of the world family called the Fens --- out of the world not only because they live their life differently, more democratically, more lovingly, and more unitedly than most other families, but also because there are quintuplet children in it who are very unlike one another --- one is an elephant boy, another is a Giant Panda boy, a third is a koala boy, and the other two are physically the tiniest children you will ever get to see.

They are a sweet, lively lot and, partly because they are so very, very different from everybody else, all kinds of interesting and amusing and threatening and dramatic things keep happening to them.

In my next blog I'd like to talk more about THE FANTABULOUS FENS and about children's fiction in general.
