Yes, I was at the Ventura Book Festival. I was near the back of the room and had lots of books on display. I write mysteries and my latest two are Judgment Fire (Deputy Tempe Crabtree mystery series) and Fringe Benefits (Rocky Bluff P.D. series.)

I'll use most any excuse to come to Ventura County, we used to live in Oxnard and I have two grown daughters still living in the area.

Bill, other folk in the network,
Here I sit in an airport hotel room, waiting for the green light and spring into research for my next few creative endeavors. Off to Australia first. I hired myself out as an international personal tour guide. I'll also be working the media and the public regarding the entrapments of the Nigerian Fraud Industry, a topic of two my books. Also, I bought a really nice portable digital recorder and will be setting up the future recordings for my two Australian based novels. Audio-plays are my goal, to be available on CD and MP3 downloads. We, as writers, have to broaden the avenues of our written works in order to be a part of the growing illiteratate populace.

So, Bill, what's on in your life? Got some magic brewing?

Cheers, Brian Wizard

PS: I have no idea what is an appropriate comment, so there's "something" as requested by the Comment Wall.

Ventura County is my old stomping grounds. Still have two grown daughters there--one in Ventura and the other in Oxnard.

I go back quite often, first and foremost to visit my daughters and their families, but I also go to book fairs and any other opportunity to talk about or sell my books.

Just as my first hardcover was released, B&N on line suddenly made all my publisher's titles read "No copies available at the present time." How's that for a bleeping bad start?
LOL!
