Thanks Douglas. I do what I can to provide great information to speakers, trainers, authors and consultants with my blog and other information.

Nikki is great. She is a real genuine person and has great marketing ideas for authors.

I'll look at your blog site. Actually, I have been talking quite a bit with Nikki Leigh. Both or our current novels--and both murder mysteries--take place in the Outer Banks area of North Carolina. If you have time, check out my Crimespace page (same user name) and read the excerpts from my three novels.

Smiles,
Doug

Hi Carolyn,

Thanks for your message. Must have been an overload in my inbox from the sale! :-)

A major benefit to the products authors receive in this package is learning how utilize many methods to market their books, themselves and any speaking engagements they have with little or no cost. They can literally get thousands of dollars worth of free publicity with many of the ideas and strategies they will learn about.

The catch, they do have to put effort into it. None of my products work by buying them and then letting them sit on the hard drive.

Thanks for asking.

Sooooo, send me a short pitch on the one special you think my subscribers to Sharing with Writers are most likely to find essential and I'll run it
in my next issue, with the link and then they can search the other specials for themselves.
Will that work? (-:

Hi Shirley,

In that I am new to this social group, I hope this message reaches you. My books have been relatively successful. All have been profitable. Most of that has to do with building a solid database that I can tap into with each book that gets released. I also do live presentations specific to the topic of the book.

You may have noticed lots of free resources on my website. Feel free to get whatever fits your needs.

My best
Kathleen

Hi Kathleen, I was checking out your website and it was very interesting. I think I've tried every marketing thing in the world but so far haven't had much success at it.

I think out of all my books the three that should be the easiest to sell is A Mothers Torment, www.amotherstorment.com

The Choice Is Yours, www.thechoiceisyours.org which has my book and a DVD and ROad Angels, www.roadangels.org which is about women who ride motorcycles.

I've sent flyers to thousands of schools on the Choice Is Yours as the DVD is something kids from the fourth grade up should see, but for sending out 8000 emails to teachers, and principles, I've only gotten a few responses back.

With Road Angels I sent email flyer to a few hundred motorcycle shops with out much success. Maybe I'm just too old as I don't get out much, can't walk very far . I haven't done any book signings in a few years as it's somthing I dont like doing...I find it embarrassing to do them.

You have some great looking books there and I'm sure they all successful. Anyway, good luck to you. Shirley
