You're right, Nadio, not to quit your day job. Being a full time writer doesn't offer "benefits" like health insurance or a pension. I freelanced for magazines for many years before I got my first book deal, "Irma Quarterdeck Reports" published by Wescott Cove. My wife reminds me that I am happiest when working on a new book. It's one of those obsessions that consume writers. Keep at it. Visit my web site to hear two of my short stories the BBC broadcast. I don't know if they still do this, but I can give you some of the parameters that might fit your own stories. www.hu.mtu.edu/~hlsachs

Thanks! For the information about the Booklovers Convention, and the featured books :)
The convention sounds like it would be alot of fun, but Pittsburgh is a little ways from Virginia and I'm not sure I can make it this year :(
Your site is looking great with all these featured books, tips, and event announcements. I hope all is well with you my friend and wish you much success with your writing endeavors.
Thanks for the invite, Nadia. Good luck with the site - a great idea!
My book "What To Do When You Become The Boss" is in the management genre and probably unlike some of the other books on your site.
I have two questions:
1. How do you intend to reach the reading public? I appreciate that authors do have a wide network, so that must be a good start.
2. In terms of payment for advertising, I do not operate with PayPal. I am also based in Switzerland where cheques are not used - it recently cost me $50 in charges for a $49 cheque to send to the US!
Kind regards

I'm interested also in hearing about your work. The world of poetry seems like it's even harder than prose to break into!
