Good evening everyone,

I'm am new on this page so my message might be a little long but its important. So please pass this information to others who are interested. I promise my future messages will not be that long.
My letter is to strive to give useful information to the public audience. I have used the information in this book in a recent summer series 2007 in which, empowered many individuals and families infected and affected with this HIV disease. Normally I would not expose my disease to the world because of the stigma that comes with it, But in 2008, I am asking the world to step up to help make a difference with this pandemic. I am only one person, and boy can I use the help.

In the last four years, I tried very hard to provide information through support groups and testing sites. In dreaming big dreams and in reaching global capacity, I have been blessed in producing an educational book in the fight for HIV/AIDS (see info below). For reviews and sited articles about this book, visit my web site at www.venusperez.com

For we know books can reach many and this is why I used my testimony and experience to write this easy to understand educational book. So today I ask and challenge each individual to educate one person using this book about HIV/AIDS as well as STD's in the year 2008.

Jo, not sure what to tell you. Sometimes I see a link that allows me to add a friend, sometimes I do not. Perhaps someone more experienced with this can help you.

Hi Jo,

Looks like we got hooked up on our Friend's lists.

I used to live in Taos, New Mexico. My husband worked in Hobbs on several occasions.

Happy 2008,

Jo,

Ironically, I grew up in Carlsbad, born and raised. Been back in New Mexico, Santa Fe since 1982—long story.
I love the weather up here. We have the best of winter without the mess you see in places like Michigan, four full seasons, which I love. Fall may be my favorite.
Though I also write (many stories about southern NM), I'm basically a publicist; had a slew of professions and businesses.

Thank you so much for the greeting./ And I hope yours was as great as mine was. Liv9ing here in the New Mexico desert, it was a surprise to get 2-3 inches of snow today. Usually we are able to do things outdoors on Thanksgiving.

The tough thing about publishing when you're over 70 is that publishers are loooking for younr writers they can develop into steady meal tickets over the years. I'm 76 with poor prospects for extended development of that kind. But if you love to do it, just keep on at it. It's very satisfying. Just don't spend a lot of money on some company that would be glad to charge you for editing, book design, marketing, copy editing, etc etc and sell little. There goes the pension check! If you'd like tips on freelancing to finance your next big trip, download my book "Chilly-CHilly BANG! or How We Freelanced through Europe's Coldest Winter in a VW with a Kid." Download is $2.50 at www.lulu.com but you can have them print you a copy if you prefer. Visit my web site www.hu.mtu.edu/~hlsachs where you can listen to a couple of my short stories the BBC broadcast over the world wide network.

Glad to see others publishing in their mature years. I was 75 when my first novel was published; and 77 when the second was published. That was last year. But the energy for following through with publicity and selling is hard to come by. May you be successful with your efforts. Margaret Guthrie
