Something About Me and My Book:: It is my firm conviction that paying to have your fiction manuscript printed and then calling yourself PUBLISHED is like buying a stethoscope and then calling yourself a doctor. Publishers pay authors. Authors don't pay publishers. Exception: niche market how-to books, and niche market non-fiction. Of course, If you are making money (showing a profit) on your book sales, I am thrilled for you. I have about a dozen books in print. I was paid for all of them except ONE that I did to raise money for a charity in the UK. I have never paid anyone to publish my books. They pay me. That's why I am called a professional author. If you believe in your work, submit to paying publishers. Keep writing, keep submitting. DON'T PAY.
