- Something About Me and My Book:
- I majored in art before getting a BA degree in Zoology in 1974. THE DOC novel is soon to be out IN PRINT published by Black Opal Books. A new ebook version will be available then also. For many who have wanted it in print form in the past I hope will hang in there. There will be a new cover also. FOR THOU ART WITH ME was the first published novel. It's a World War II flashback story, based on war stories heard over the years in the 1950's and from later research. There's more information on my website.

The Posse
I’m in a posse. I have been for a while. We are lead by our author friend Sunny Frazier. We first met at an author event at Chowchilla Library. I am not sure if the “The Posse” was formed at that time or not until later. Somehow I was in. We have a main concept of using some sort of clout with improving our promotions and marketing, as well as entertaining one another.

I just talked to Billie at Oak Tree. She's swamped right now and behind on the manuscripts. She has several books coming out, so it might be a wait. She's also got some help and has to train the woman.
I've offered to vet the manuscripts and ask the tough marketing questions. You might want to get together a marketing plan and address specifics like who are your media contacts, what is your range of promotion, transportation to events, money for conferences and conventions, health (that's a big one!), visibility on the Internet and in the community, name recognition. The first year is the hardest to get established, but you've already got a book out.
These are things you can work on now while you wait. You're going to need a plan no matter where you pitch your book.
Delray Beach is next to Boca Raton. Boca is 15 miles or so north of Ft. Lauderdale. Very nice area. Palm city is about an hour north I think. I am still trying to figure out the pictures and site. It is a good site. I went to a book signing here with Suzy Welch. She has written the book 10-10-10. Very good book. I also was lucky enough to meet Jack Welch. He is a best selling author and very nice guy. I t was great to chat with them. They already had a copy of PurpleUmpkin so they got a chance to meet me also. The amazing book industry. Best always.
