Profile Information

Something About Me and My Book:: My name is Richard Neal Huffman. I am the author of two books, Dreams In Blue: The Real Police and Rubal. The first is a non-fiction based on real life police stories. It is a no-holds-barred look at real life police. Far too many police books gloss over the people who serve and protect us each day and night. This is not a book to 'put down' police, rather a book that tells it like it is; the good and the bad.
My second book is a fiction based on historical fact. It starts off with Rubal Kincade, a young Union soldier, during the Civil War. It is full of adventure. It has many historical facts surrounding Rubal as he goes through life as a soldier and then into civilian life's many challenges.
I also have many short stories, soon to be ten in all. All my work can be found on Amazon.com.

During the fall and spring of 1999-2000 I suffered from a recurring bout of sore throat problems. The doctor would put me on antibiotics, it would clear up and then return. I was then diagnosed with sleep apnea. I was put on a c-pap machine to help me breathe as I slept. The machine burned out, even while set on its highest pressure setting. This happened two or three times.

I paid a visit to a nurse at the VA clinic and she advised me to go see an ear, nose, throat specialist at the…

My books sell in the UK and Canada but the publisher made that arrangement through Amazon. I do see the one, Rubal, on Ebay but that is individuals that for some reason decided to sell it.
