Something About Me and My Book:
I've been writing for much longer than I care to admit, but my first novel was published by Houghton Mifflin in 1973. I grew up as an Army brat in Japan and Germany and consider that experience valuable to my writing. I have published two historical fiction, two plice action thrillers, and my latest novel, The Vagabond Healer, is mainstram fiction. I'm currently working on another historical fiction.

Harry Potter was a phenomenon. I don't have a prayer.:} But thanks for the kind thought anyway. And it's nice to meet another military brat (although I was Air Force...in Okinawa). Nice to meet you!

Hello Jim,

Thanks for the message. Yes, being a writer is more fun than being an agent--but in the long haul probably being an agent is much more profitable than being a writer. With all my books, people falsely believe that I have it made in the shade. Few people seem to realize that less than 500 books sell over 5,000 copies a year (some small number like that) and that 90% of nonfiction books never earn back their advance--and all of my books are nonfiction.

Congratulations on your novel writing,

Terry

Hi James, Good to meet you and thanks for leaving your comments on my page. Your books sounds very interesting....I like police and mysteries and read a lot. Found a good bookstore that has romance books for a dime each so I get forty or fifty a month and read every night when I can't sleep.....anyway, great to meet you and welcome to the network. Shirely
