Don’t get discouraged

I’ve been reading a lot of posts on KND and KDP about how July sales have started out slowly. It’s not surprising considering the Fourth of July holiday. As I said in my last post, I made the biggest mistake of all by booking a sponsorship during this week. People are out having fun and spending time looking to buy ebooks takes away from some of that fun. Although I’ve sold a bunch of books already this month, I’m not going to base my monthly average on this week’s sales. Otherwise, I might…

Freedom

I'm so happy that I live in a country where I can write plays about Zeus trying to sleep with his sisters, Jeffrey Dahmer hitting on Jesus, and God secretly impregnating Satan's wife. If I lived somewhere else, I might be killed for the type of stuff I write...or not be allowed to write at all because I'm a woman. But instead I'm allowed to sell this book about a Greek god trying to screw anything that crosses his path...yay for America! :…

Interview with a Recluse by Linda Della Donna

I'm not much on interviews but when the lovely Ms. Linda Della Donna asked if she could interview me, I couldn't resist.  She is everything her readers would imagine she is; kind, funny, thoughtful and talented.  And, she lives in my favorite city in the whole world:  New York.  I've been following her writing for awhile now and I never tire of her written word.  Ever.

So, without further adieu, here is the…

Not so good

So once again, I’ve made a blunder (I think) in my sponsorship ads. Last Friday, DROP OUT was Kindle Nation Daily’s sponsor. http://kindlenationdaily.com/2012/06/kdd-june-29/ According to their own estimates more than 150,000 readers were exposed through their means. I probably exposed the link to another twenty or thirty thousand people through my promotional…
