PRICELESS PUBLICITY

Wouldn't it be nice if the writers in this group each had their own publicity agent? Publicity can cost money—but it doesn't have to.

I'm signed up on BookTour.com. This nifty website is the brainchild of three San Francisco authors who use technology to connect authors with audiences.

In 2006, they launched the idea to the world. Authors create a page with their bio, books, and tour dates. Venues looking for speakers list their site on BookTour.

A sinking ship

Feeling like a sinking ship

in the sea.

What is it???

Someone else precious to my heart

has died again.

Why God???

Why do you keep taking from my life

the people I cherish most?

I found a good reason to give up

on that thing so called LIFE,

a remake of JOB’s downfalls.

Feeling forsaken by God.

The thought of isolation.

The thought of running away.

My heart is aching.

The thought of ending it… Continue

Miracles of God

God is like the wind, we can’t see him but we can feel his presence into our life. He is an amazing friend because He helps us in times of need. He doesn’t answer our prayers at the time we want but just on time.

In my christian life, I just changed of jobs so many times out of frustation and boredom. God has always step on time to follow my faith and I’ve always found jobs. Help yourself and God will help you.

I want to give God the glory. The other day, my little boy was… Continue

Discouragement

Mountains too high

Sadness over my soul

A horrible sight

Will it last forever?

All things work for good

For those who love God

And are called according

To his purpose

Meditating the Word

Powerful promises

A refreshing stream

Flows into my soul

An inexplicable joy

Wonderful hope

Nothing is permanent

Circumstances change

In Christ we can cope

The Lord is our hope

The future of our… Continue

Life After Death

We shouldn’t be scared to die. Neither should we be for our loved ones. The most

amazing thing is that any person can choose where they want to go: “heaven or

hell” before they die. Christ is the way to heaven.

Three years ago, my granny was still alive. She was the kindest person I ever met.

Always reachable on the phone to share the joys and struggles of my life. I was

also her favorite grand-child, having known me as a baby.

I used to buy her gifts… Continue

My faith with God

MY FAITH WITH GOD

Ten years ago, I was an atheist and I sinned like everybody else. I got so much guilty with myself and angry with the world for hurting me so much.

So, I just kept being depressed. I was quite low and thought life would be so much better if I was dead.

I moved from France to live in the United Kingdom. I got there as an au pair at the age of 22. I got sacked from the job after a month. My english was very poor and I didn’t have any family over… Continue

STORYHEART SUNDAY UK BLOG - FRAGRANTLY SCULPTURED RED ROSE OF ENGLAND

FRAGRANTLY SCULPTURED RED ROSE OF ENGLAND

I have just driving back from normal Sunday shopping trip, when I noticed a McDonald's advert for their Latia, not that I drink the stuff being a typical Englishman, it is "the leaf not the bean". In other words give me a good cup of tea any day. Any way the sign read "Deliciously… Continue

How I Made the Switch From Technical Writing to Writing Fiction

I have been asked many times, "How did you make the switch from technical writing to writing fiction?" Now that I have three novels either released or contracted for, I believe I have enough experience to answer that question.

When I expressed an intention to write fiction, I was warned it would be difficult, and perhaps impossible to make the switch from technical writing to writing fiction, because the left hemisphere of my brain was obviously dominant. Writing fiction, I was told,… Continue

An excerpt from "Just a Season" - "Granddaddy’s Lessons" - A must read

A few months ago I posted this excerpt from my novel "Just a Season". I received a very special heartfelt request from a devoted follower asking me to repost “Granddaddy’s Lessons”. Although she calls herself “a fan of my thoughts,” I call her my friend. Therefore, I am honored to repost this message that I feel delivers a powerful message and I hope it will enlighten, empower, motivate, and touch your heart as well.

Today we live in a world where there is no more Granddaddy to share… Continue

EPIC Seeks NEW VOICES

When I was young, there were a handful of teachers who took a special interest in my writing. These teachers inspired me to press forward. I often wonder how much more I could have accomplished and how much earlier I could have reached my goals if I would have had a little more help. Encouraging young writers today is important to me. I know what it feels like to be alone with a story in my heart and a dream to share it. That’s why this year I agreed… Continue
