Better than sex

My newest novel, DROP OUT goes live tomorrow, yeah!!! But what is almost as rewarding as publishing a new novel is what happened to me the other day. But first, let me tell you a story about Neil at 17 years old. Here I was, a geeky high school student with a crush on one of the school's cheerleaders. Now, I knew she was out of my league from the start, but I was young and bold, and figured what the hey. So I let it be known that I liked her. (back then there were no cell phones, or…

Around the Globe with ELIZABETH KOLODZIEJ

Yeah, I know, I couldn't pronounce her name either. On our way to a spot away from the main crowds on a southern Italian beach, this week's author taught me how to say her name. After a few tries, she congratulated me on my efforts. So, now I get to teach all of you how to properly say her name. Ready? Let's try it together... Ee-liz-uh-beth. Very good. Oh, her surname?… Continue

Androgynes, Enemas & E-Books

Some things just don't make a lot of sense.  Today a FB friend of mine posted a clip from Dead or Alive, with a comment that today is the lead singer's birthday.  I think the androgynous one is 52.  I shouldn't care about this, and to be honest, I don't.  But they had a mainstream hit in the mid-80s with 'You Spin Me Right Round'.  Now, I have an innate loathing of just about all things 80s, and this dude encapsulates the bulk of them, particularly the 80s androgynous fad.  As you can…

TO ALL HORROR WRITERS AND PUBLISHERS EVERYWHERE

I wrote and posted this on Myspace a handful of years ago, just for horror authors, and I received pages of positive responses. All this time later, after I came across it again, I thought I’d resurrect it, because in my mind nothing’s changed…….except for the fact that these days, I’m not only an author, I’m a publisher of many authors…..

To all horror writers, large and small, big press, small press, even smaller press, self-published, not even published at all:

In my youth,… Continue

MAYAN CALENDAR GIRLS now in paperback and Kindle

Some of you probably know I’ve been on a long time novel project called MAYAN CALENDAR GIRLS, part of team of writers called “Team 2012”. It was an online serial for a year, very popular; then a much-awarded, highly innovative, commercially useless ebook: now it’s a paperback, and an official Kindle eBook.

I’m pretty thrilled about this: it’s the wildest, coolest book I’ve been on yet. Unique, quirky, adventurous, romantic, funny…and plenty of cheesecake. But also because it’s the first… Continue

Burden of Blood Wenona Hulsey

Busy day, busy week, oh man,I have thought long and hard on what I want to try to say about this novel. Here is the thing, I am fortunate to read a lot of different stuff, not just in form but in genre. This novel just stands apart from anything I have read of late, what type of words should I use, how should I say it? Let’s get to the synopsis first and I can ponder it a bit more:

“No one wants to know everyone& their darkest secrets, especially not police officer, Nicole Keenan.…

The Real You

Quickly, answer this question: "I am a _______."

So, what was your response? If I were to guess, I'd say that most rapidly answered this with your professional position: Doctor, Lawyer, Brick Layer, Artist, Housewife, etc. All of these are great things to be, but so often we become something we're not, racing down the tracks of life like an out-of-control locomotive.

Worldly affairs almost immediately take control over us as soon as we develop the ability to speak,…

HIS STORY IS GOD'S GLORY

Born on a very bright December night, born in this humble stable, humanity's treasure....the Way, the Truth and the Life.

This Christ child was given to a world too blind to see, Jesus knew his destiny and he loved us that much....to die on Calvary for you and me.

Mary and Joseph accepted their role in God's perfect plan, God would wrap himself in flesh and walk as Deity amongst man.

From the moment he was born his life was in danger, this tiny, innocent child born among…

NEWSFLASH: Darren Sant to start new series with Trestle Press entitled: “A Good Day”

Trestle Press is proud to announce that Darren Sant will be starting a new digital short story series entitled “A Good Day”. Here is what to expect:

“Housing estates, council estates or "schemes" as the Scots refer to them are places where you can find a broad cross section of society. There are the salt of the earth folk. People who will cross the street to help a friend, a neighbor and even a stranger. These folk know the true meaning of the word community, to them it is not just a…
