Ahhhh, I love this time of year! Trimming the Christmas tree, hanging lights and the smell of pies cooking in my mothers kitchen brings back many fond memories. My mother would go through many boxes of ornaments that she'd saved over the years reminiscing over all of them. She would strategically place all of hers in just the perfect spot. Our tree resembled the one that sat in the Macy's window display other than, it didn't have our trees special touch including, but not limited to popcorn…

Excerpt from my self-published book, Shades of Purple
...We had a speckled puppy named Lucky. He attracted every tick within a ten-mile radius. ..Lucky bit the dust also. Never one to mourn for long, my sister Rhonda sprayed two letters and a hyphen in front of Lucky's name. The sign in front of his vacant dog house read: UN-Lucky.
This book deals with growing up in rural Alabama in a small…

Today at Buzz the Book we are spotlighting Bee Balms & Burgundy by Nelson Pahl. There is a short synopsis and excerpt. This isn't your typical romance such as those that are more formula based. Plus the male POV is really a nice change.
For reviews of Bee Balms and Burgundy you can stop by Snow's Place and Sadie's Storylines.
