The Great Big Show, Ten Random Facts, and Cricket

Hello readers. This month on Compulsive Reader Talks, I’ve interviewed Justin Lowe, who spoke about his verse novel The Great Big Show, about self-publishing, the power of verse and a lot more. Julie Ann Dawson at Gather published Ten Random Facts about me (keep the sit ups to yourself – I don’t want to ruin my reputation!), a terrific review was published at Book Pleasures and in conjunction, a really in-depth interview with me was published at Newsblaze. Inkwell published another interview, and Nikki Leigh published another. I hope I don’t start contradicting myself—a definite possibility, though I consider it a fun challenge to keep answering the same questions in different ways and having a stock of ready answers is great for impromptu opportunities to talk about the book. I wrote about song lyrics (following up on a conversation I had with my kids at home) at Blog Critics and was really surprised at the amount of (mostly positive) attention this one drew. I’ll have to do music writing more often—my reviews never had this much comment. Why not drop by and add your 2c worth. I also spoke about parenting on Gloria's Corner. Of course this was in conjunction with a welter of spelling bees (including an all day state final in Sydney), birthday parties, and cricket games.
