Twitter as both social tool, and diary log

Just added a Twitter widget above, so now what I'm doing will always be current (saves the zillion cross postings). I know there are lots of social networks to keep up with, but what I like about Twitter is that it's really fast (you're very limited on text), which means you can just drop in and put in a very fast update before closing each evening. So I don't have to wait for big stuff -- I just pop in each little thing I've been doing (and sometimes I surprise myself with how much I actually… Continue

Chats, poetry and superheroes

My week long LibraryThing chat is now finished, and boy, did I get some great questions. The chat is open for viewing to anyone (you don't need to sign up to LibraryThing, though it is a pretty cool promotional tool). Just drop by LibraryThing and check it out. I made a ridiculous offer there to anyone who dropped in, with the aim of allowing visitors to read my novel, but I'm holding that offer for book marketing… Continue

Writers helping writers

In a recent Publisher’s Weekly article, the notion of writers reviewing one another’s books, or supporting each other was dealt with as a negative thing. So when the good folks at Murder by 4 asked me to do a guest blog, I knew I had to write a counter piece on the value of writers supporting one another. The crux of the blog is that “without the support and community of like-minded authors, there’s… Continue
