Hi,
Went to your site and read the chapter. I was a bit confused at the beginning between sports but when the dialog started it was much better. Good job! And congratulations!

Dear Jo,

I'm so sorry to learn of that accident and about your son. You seem to have found a good thing in the midst of your sorrow (your writing) and I pray you are blessed in it with success and contentment.
All the best,
and thanks for commenting.

Hi Jo,

Thanks for commenting - I've got a traditional publisher - Living Waters - and she will publish each story over the next 5 years. The premise is now that the kids have a geography game and it gives them clues and info about each state. I've also just been given a new idea to incorporate to make the kids want to move on to the next book. I'm marketing to schools and libraries and other educational places as well as bookstores in general - I hope I can keep it up - E :)

Just want to say hi, thanks for the friendship, and that I wish you blessings with your book and writing. It shows a great deal of spunk to start when you did, and we can all use some of that--thanks for the good example!
Blessings,

While editing my site awhile ago, I somehow messed up things (not unusual for me) and it doesn't work now. Hopefully they will have it fixed soon.

Meanwhile, go to http://novelist2.blogspot.com and you will find the first chapter there.

I couldn';t begin to count the number of rejection slips I've gotten over the years. But the thing is to keep trying. Lots of big name aurhores were rejectred time and time and time again before they got accepted. Same goes for singers, actors - anyone who has a dream to follow.

Hi Jo, I admire you when you say....and then the rounds of the publishers and agents begin. Wow, I just write and put on the shelf, not having the courage or inclination to start that time consuming job of getting published. When I have committed to paper all that is running around in my head I will get down to the publishing thingy, but until then I am having fun, and that is what it is all about. Off to Morocco in May to do some more research for a novel, a romantic novel this time. I read once that a famous author had over 500 rejection slips before he was published...I guess that is why I have not taken the plunge....I think I would have given up after rejection slip No.3!!!! Good Luck to you and keep us all posted....Ciao Christy

Hi Jo,
Even though I work less than two blocks from the Monte Carlo, I've been so busy I haven't had the opportunity to contact their Security Director to ask how extensive the damage actually was.
However, I did ask one of my officers here and he informed me that the Monte carlo is still closed down and that all their guests were moved to the New York, New York Hotel and Casino as some were even moved to The Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino.
I saw a little footage on TV of the fire and it looked to me that the top floors are severely damaged.
I hope that help.
