Hi Terry --

I'll check out your affiliate program for Book Proposals That Sell. Sounds like a good match for my audience. My affiliate program for The Web-Savvy Writer is at www.websavvywriter.com/affiliate.htm.

Thank you, I'm so glad you liked them--I just wrote a review of ten manners books for kids, "Gasp, Giggle, Think and Learn: Ten Best Books for Teaching Children Manners" and am looking for places to send it. (I included my own at the end of the list and hope no one finds that offensive, but I think it belongs there, has its own niche). I thought this list was very much needed--mine emphasizes humor. That's what's missing in most of the manners books so it wasn't that easy to put together.

Hi Terry,

I agree 100% about writing not being the lucatrive profession that non-authors anticipate. So far my five novels may have netted me somewhere around 15 cents an hour and most of that came from the advance and awards my first novel garnered. But I love writing and will keep at it until my pencil falls from my dead fingers.

Hi Terry,

You certainly have a great background in writing and related subjects. I would think being a writer is more fun than being an agent. Two of my historical fictions are set in Arizona, and I spent some time out there in the Tucson area, although I also spent some time in Phoenix. Good luck in all your endeavors.

Hello Terry,
I am accepting very few of these "friend" invitations, because I have too many friends already! but your background interested me so here I am. This is going to be a very involved summer for me - away for two weeks, houseguests for 3 weeks, and lots of marketing committments in between. so please understand if I don;t get back to you in a timely manner.

As quick background, I'll tell you that I worked with a NYC literary agent, a very lovely woman, but she was unable to get a decent offer on my book. So I severed relationships with her and went with Infinity Publishing (POD). Now I am working with another agent and our mission is to build buzz on my book and me as an author. Then we will try the traditional route again. Meanwhile, feel free to puruse my website at: www.sexliesandcosmeticsurgery.com/ to learn more about me and my book.

Very best,

Lois

Hi Terry,
How brilliant of you, thanks a lot. Yes, I will be looking into the sites that you mention for assistance in
promoting the book. Obviously, promotion is the next most important thing to having a good product. Like the man said "You can have the best mousetrap in the world, but if you don't tell anybody about it....it's not going to sell!" Thanks again. Speak soon.
