If you write for MG or YA (duh, right?) you should be part of Figment. It's where the kids are and they're actively reading and participating. While you're there and signing up, read my Dystopian short story and heart it if you like it. http://figment.com/books/65175-The-Community Voting ends Friday April 29.

I am the author of the Ferdinand the Frog series from Loving Healing Press. My first book, Ferdinand Uses the Potty, is a story in rhyme about a frog named Ferdinand who wets his bed because he is afraid of the sound the potty makes. With some great advice from his best friend, Ferdinand is able to overcome his fears!

My second book in the series is a chapter book for beginning readers titled The Greatest First Day of School in the History of the Universe. In this book we meet Ferdinand's best friend, Travis the Turtle. Travis became deaf after an illness and the story takes a look at a day in the life of a very spirited turtle who communicates through American Sign Language and lip reading. The book deals with issues like bullying, questions children may have about deaf people, friendship, understanding, and love.

Both books are beautifully illustrated by D.E. West

Ferdinand Uses the Potty is available through www.amazon.com and www.barnesandnoble.com

The Greatest First Day of School in the History of the Universe is set for publication in mid 2011. Both books are distributed by Ingram and Baker and Taylor.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like too walk in somebody else's shoes , What about what it would be like to have to live two different lives to fit in with others?
Author Kim Vogel Sawyer has just started a new series called "Katy Lambright Series" for Christian Teens.

With the rise of Bullying in Teens , Ive come up with a book Idea - A bit like an Anthology of messages of hope , stories , poems to reach out and show teens and vicitms that there is somebody that cares. It only takes one , and if we think about it doesn't take long to jot something down. If you are interested in writing a piece and being included in this idea. Send me an email @ paulazone@live.com and place in the subject line - Stop Bullying :) . Please as the saying goes It only takes one person to save another, imagine what we can do if we all get together - We could help save the next generation :)
