WHERE ANGELS FEAR got here just in time for the Hanford BookFest. I sold all but four, and now I'm waiting for more copies. It's terrible to turn your friends away! Thanks everyone for being so patient.

My girlfriend Rhonda, who is in the dedication of the book (you thought Lennie was a figment of my imagination?) sent me the most beautiful bouquet of yellow lilies and white daisies. At the bottom of the clear vase was a lemon! I've never seen anything like that before. I'm carrying it around from room to room so I can watch it before they wilt away.

Congrats to my friend and sister of the soul, Hazel Dixon Cooper, the Cosmo Astrologer. Today, Hazel not only landed an A-list agent, but the No. 1 A-list agent. She will be on this site soon. The message is that if she can do it, we all can.

Marilyn. Thanks for sending the e-mail. We have to do the Kings Library thing this week. How many books should we bring?

Thanks, Marilyn. I wish they would pay me $20,000 to publicize my books.

Wow! $20,000 for a publicist! Wouldn't that be wonderful. My point was though, that Bonnie's books are great. Try one if you haven't already.

Sorry for the double post. One version has typos.

Marilyn: My publisher spent $20,000 for a publicist, and almost everything I got was from my own contacts. No one is ever going to care about our books as much as we do. And much of what happens is out of our control. My books do well in other countries, especially France and Italy (must be the covers). Don't get me started on foreign rights, though. That's one of the reasons I changed publishers.

For most of us, we have to promote ourselves in order to sell our books. Bonnie has a great publisher and her books get out there anyway. However, I do think her books deserve an even bigger following which might happen with more promoting on her part. Not a criticism, just letting people know she's a terrific writer, right up there with some of the big names.

I do agree with her comment about reading from her work though--I don't like to do that, much prefer talking about the book, why I wrote it, funny incidents with research, that sort of thing.

Bonnie, I've sent you two e-mail messages, did you get either one? If you use Yahoo, it doesn't like my e-mail server.
