The simplicity of a simple book trailer can be a powerful marketing tool for authors. You can place them on your authors site, blog, and on other sites where ever video's are hosted.

The Indie Bookman would love your input.

Listen and see if you want to be a part of Indie Bookman: http://indiebookman.com/

The IndieBookMan has room for you to get involved! All positions are voluntary at this point, but you will get good experience and be a part of something awesome as it grows. And, as it grows, we will certainly be seeking ways to compensate our volunteers.

You can get involved by: Contacting us: http://indiebookman.com/contact

Writing for the IndieBookMan and Friends blog:
If you are a strong and opinionated writer with knowledge about indie publishing, we would love to have your posts 3-5 times a week. We can offer a byline with links to your own project or book, so there is something in it for you. Contact us http://indiebookman.com/contact

Reviewing Indie Books:
We are looking for a book reviewer. Reviews should be 1-5 paragraphs long, and we are looking for ~1 review per week. You get to choose which of the submitted books you would like to review, and keep the books that are sent to you. Contact us http://indiebookman.com/contact

Help us with marketing:
We need a smart, self-motivated marketing expert to promote the website and the podcast. This is an amazing opportunity to get in on the ground floor and create what could end up being a real job for yourself. Contact: http://indiebookman.com/contact us

Produce a segment for The IndieBookMan Show podcast:
Have a great idea for a 1-5 minute show segment? Want to get into producing radio shows, like Ira Glass or the Radio Lab guys? We want to hear your idea! Send us your pitch, and we will see where we can fit it into the show. Great for your resume. Contact us: http://indiebookman.com/contact

Pitch an idea for the podcast:
If you have a great idea for the IndieBookman show, but aren’t interested in producing it yourself, let us know what you have in mind! We can give you credit for the idea if we use it, and may find a way that you can co-produce it, help write it, or be involved in some really cool way. Contact us: http://indiebookman.com/contact

Let us use your music:
Are you a musician or member of a band? Are you trying to get your music heard? Let us know – we would love to hear you. We are looking for local and indie music to highlight on the podcast. We will give you full credit and exposure to tons of listeners. Contact us: http://indiebookman.com/contact

You can also receive compensation as other sign up for the product. So it’s a win win

Check out the link above or check my website or Facebook profile for how I have used the tool personally as an author.

Good Day Authors,

Looking to sell more books? The Author Collective has just organized two new book festivals which are certain to help!  The 2011 Michigan Spring Book Festival happens April 15th through the 17th at Laurel Park Place Mall in Livonia, Michigan and The International Urban Book festival, Cleveland takes place May 13th through 15th at the Richmond Town Square Mall in Richmond Heights, Ohio. We have rented the entire mall for these festivals and expect to have lots of book lovers and book buyers in attendance.

There will be workshops, seminars, panel discussions, classes and lectures on many topics in the field of literature. These learning sessions will be free of charge to public and will provide insight on writing, publishing and marketing books. We will be sending invitations to patrons from the Detroit and Cleveland area school systems & libraries. R2Books and other sponsors will donate 1,000 book certificates to deserving students in each of the two cities. These certificates are good for one free book and must be redeemed at the festival. Many of the student with free book certificates and their parents, will look to purchase additional books and meet the authors in attendance.

Do you love selling at book festivals but hate the rain, cold and the wind that almost always happen during an outdoor event?  Join us for our indoor festivals which will span the entire common area of these shopping malls. Interact with the more than 10,000 shoppers who visit these malls everyday. Author applications are now available on our websites.  Click the links below or call me to reserve your table today!

Look to see you there.
