Hey, I was just in Albuquerque and ate at the El Pinto. This is run by the famous Gregg family of La Posta fame in the good ol' days before Mesilla went downhill. It was truly great food.
I also visited the Botanical Garden area, and I do mean area. It's acres and acres of wonderful things to see. It was good to be in NM for a while.
The trip continued up to Denver, then west to see the National Parks. There were bunches of foreign visitors from everywhere and the parks are wonderful. We anchored in Las Vegas for a night and then back home to San Diego. Now I have a lot of fresh story ideas to work on.
You have to get out among the people every once in a while!!

Greetings, John. If you want your visual memories stimulated, I do photo art in northern NM. Here's a direct link to my various galleries if you get some (rare) spare time to view: http://www.cielosrojos.com.
I am a writer living in San Diego, California. My genre is action fiction, which can be focused on the future, the past, or a cozy or not so cozy mystery. Besides the writing, I have been blessed by all the authors that I've meet through networking. This has led to a TV program I produce for public access television called The Writer's Loft, among other exciting pursuits. I retired from a career in aerospace several years ago to follow the writing bug. I'd love to hear from my fellow writers from NM. I grew up there and have many visuals in my head of the sky, the earth, and the clean air. I use these constructs in my stories, because it's in my blood now.
Hi Everyone. Happy New Year! I’m excited to announce that, at the urging of many authors, I’ve decided to open my photographic artwork to licensing for book covers. If you are interesting in using any of my images for your books, licensing prices vary according to how limited the editions.

"Notes for the Aurora Society" is the story of a 1500-mile walk through Finland. Leaving from the southernmost point of Finland, the author crossed the Finnish countryside interviewing Finns about their relationship to nature and exploring the land and the history that made modern Finland. His journey deposited him, five-months later, on the shores of the Arctic Ocean. Blending a naturalist’s ecosystem knowledge with an anthropologist’s ability to elicit unique insight into the process of culture, this work of travel literature is the first book to look at the Finnish people through their connection to the natural world.
Just wanted to share the news...my second book has just been published!
THE PREACHER is an exciting story that follows an assassin bent on revenge after the death of his parents by Union forces. Trained to kill by none other than ‘Bloody Bill’ Anderson, the assassin is terrorizing the West. Deputy U.S. Marshal Jake Silver must hunt him down and bring him to justice before he kills again, and round up an entire network of criminal activity.
