Recently, I followed through with a friend’s request. She wanted me to check her website and blog. Frustrated, she’d asked me if there was anything she could do. Apparently, she’d posted great content but was puzzled when there’d been no traffic. Her fabulous articles sat empty of recorded visitors. She’d wanted an interactive blog. A place to discuss her book with the audience. She was ready to give up, and stop…writing.
Glancing…

BUG-EYED MONSTER
My two-part story, Bug-Eyed Monster is now out with Planetary Stories and getting some darn good reviews, and some rather odd comments about my name! Check this out:
Review of Bug Eyed Monsers:
"I just finished reading, Bug-Eyed Monsters, by Rob Shelsky. It really was like Edmond Hamilton's stories only, I think, it was better. The Bum saved the world, the girl was saved and the… Continue

This all started innocently enough.
Ning makes it easy to add applications to each profile page so I thought, why not add an RSS feed so I can have blog posts from other people listed on my page? That way, the other people are doing the writing, and it helps refresh content on my page at the same time. Pretty clever, huh?
Surrrrre.
Then, I started looking for blogs to list on the RSS feed application, which limits entries to 5. I peruse other people's blogs…

Standing at the threshold
of Death's ultimate door,
my last gasp escapes me...
As I've never experienced before.
Into the Heavenly realm
I ascend in wonderment,
now housed in an incorruptible body
and thankful that from sin I did repent.
Standing in God's throne room
freed of all Earthly flesh,
my spiritual essence is energized
and feeling fully refreshed.
Now gathered unto my Savior,
unencumbered reality is more…

with your abundance of green,
take advantage of Today -
Contribute to this Earthly scene.
Enjoy your present strength;
ignore worries of the past.
Let the distant failures fade
and let sweeter memories last.
Be true to yourself always,
standing tall and strong.
Focus on your own meadows and...
Learn to hum to Life's song.
Learn more about me and my poetry…

I spent weeks learning how to borrow social network's power.
First thing, you need to check out is my site that's strictly dedicated to selling tons of books. Between your website and our site, those should be your luxury homes. Now the first thing in the mornings, go to your own site and the book sales site and participate in one activity, or several to brand your name. Then, connect to twitter, and in 140 words, talk about what you just did on your site. Tell Twitter followers to…

They say that our senses such as sight, smell, touch and taste can evoke memories of our past. For example, what do you think of when you smell
apple pie? Breathe in deeply and smell the cinnamon, nutmeg and Granny Smith apples. What feeling or…

Do you remember the first time you spent the night alone? Perhaps it was in a big home or maybe an apartment. Were you
scared? I think everyone has an unsettling feeling when they know they are alone. Suddenly, it’s as if you can hear every creak and groan of the
home settling and the wind sounds a bit more…

Internet marketing training can cover many different aspects of the Internet. And choosing which areas to start learning about can be an overwhelming task in itself.
Let’s simplify this process by planning a “learning” agenda:
• Social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn can be good places to start because, once understood, these do not need that many hours a week for effective Internet marketing.
Twitter appears to be the simplest with…

There's a great book, The New Rules of Marketing & PR, which was published a couple of years ago by Publishers Weekly. The author is David Meerman Scott. The traditonal way to marketing and PR is out the window, he says. He talks about things we are already doing on the net, but it sheds light on new things to do when you are a do-it-yourself PR and marketing person in addition to being a writer/author. Check it out.
