I blogged about our trip to Natural Bridge on Thursday the 28th, plus the ghostly goings on to happened in our room that night at http://pamelakkinney.blogspot.com/2008/08/haunted-natural-bridge-virginia.html . I even have photos--four have orbs in them, either tiny or large.

I am guest blogging on author Sherry Morris' blog at http://housewifeink.wordpress.com/ today. I did a fantasy poem, "Fairy Autumn Fete." Please check out the blog, leave a comment, and enjoy not only my poem, but check out the rest of Sherry's blog.
Maybe my poem will bring on the coolness of fall sooner and get rid of all the summer humid heat. :-D

This week's Mr. Teacher column on education.com was supposed to be my wonderings on where all of my students are, seeing as how I only have 12 kids in my homeroom and 10 in my afternoon class. I think because of the long weekend, though, there wasn't enough time to proof it and get it online, so instead, there is a rerun of
Save the Crossing Guard Save the World from last October. Check it out and relive the…

Social networking is a great way to build your readership, fan base, and sell your products and services. You've probably already heard of some of the more popular networks like MySpace and FaceBook.
So, what are social networks? They're online spaces where virtual communities are created. You join (usually for free), create a "space" or profile page, invite your friends to join, and then link to each other. Most sites allow you to create text profiles, and upload photos, images, and…

What if you and I made this commitment – are you game? Ready? Raise your right hand and repeat:
“I will not let myself rest. I will not let my eyes sleep nor close my eyelids in slumber until I find a place to build a house for the Lord, a sanctuary for the Mighty One of Israel” (Ps. 132:3-6).
What a pledge, huh? If you and I committed to build a place in our heart, our life, and our home a place where we can run to when life piles on us, when tasks pour down like sleet,…

Trees give us breath. They generate oxygen and clean our air. They cool our landscape and beautify our world. And yet almost 4 billion trees are cut down every year to be used for making paper goods. Fire and insects ravage millions more.
While we replant many of these trees, I think we can do better. Will you help?
For each ebook purchased from my page on the Cerridwen Press website during September 2008, I will contribute $1.00 to the Arbor Day Foundation.

Today is the first day of a new booktour for my novel, The River By Moonlight. And it's started off well. I've got another good review posted at:
http://thebluestockings.com/
If you have a minute, please stop by and add a comment. And if you've already read the book, your personal two cents would be a welcome addition.
