Author of Conner and the Crosswinds series, Kevin Gerard's next book, Surviving an Altered World, comes out in December. I had the opportunity to interview Kevin about his series:
This series seemed to spark to life during your childhood – did you share Conor or any of those adventures with your own boys when they were young?
Yes, as a matter of fact, a few of the Crossworlds Champions’ personalities are based on what I’ve learned about my boys during their…

Tick tock, tick tock the clock seemed to chime endlessly as Erika sat in her room. It was 6 p.m. It was time for Erika to study and Erika hated studying more than she hated anything. "Meow!" cried Trinity, Erikas new kitten. Erika looked at Trinity. She was very cute and had all kinds of different markings that showed she was just a mutt but still she was extremely adorable and Erika loved her. Erika yawned. Erika stretched out on her bed and shut her eyes. Erika was quickly asleep and in a…

This is a question that I have been thinking about a lot recently. I’m a musician who is writing a couple of books with a friend of mine. The books are about “why” and “how” to succeed as an independent artist - author or musician.
I believe that internal motivation is one of the major factors that determines the success or failure of a project. You have to have a powerful “why” and I don’t think that wanting to earn money with your book or music is a good enough “why” to succeed.…

Most of my week has been dedicated to Patchwork Path: Grandma's Choice. As the Production Director for this project, I've been getting the book ready for the printer. The cover is finished, the interior book design is completed, and the book is back in the hands of our editor for her final read of the galley proofs. Now that the book is out of my hand, it's on to book promotion.
Plus, I'm writing up a storm! What a thrill to cross over the 25K word mark as part of my NaNoWriMo…

Since I started my virtual book touring agency, I’ve had lots of friends ask me to put their tours together for them. Well I do have a problem charging friends my full fee for book tour organizing, yet it’s hard to say no and stick to my guns, my time is so limited. So I decided to make touring available to everyone for as reasonable a price at possible.
How to Organize a Virtual Book Tour E-book is now finished and available! The…

I've just found out that 'A Study in Red' has at last made its first inroads into the UK bookstores. Waterstones, who had until recently been selling the book purely through their online retail store, Waterstones.com, are now showing stock of the book as being available in their Camden High Street (Low stock level) and Gower Street (Medium stock level), stores in London. As I personally had nothing to do with them placing the book in their stores,…

If you created a book trailer for your book (and if you haven't, you should!), you need to maximize its exposure. I recently wrote an article,
Seven Favorite Ways to Promote Your Video Book Trailer, that provides lots of ideas for free publicity. Also check out my own trailer,

My 5 year old girl saw the cover art and instantly took to it. Really, the best feed back is from the market for which the product is intended. Nice work.

Why not Jesus?
A wise man stood on the shore of the beach. He told the water to listen he said “to create man God spoke man into existence but to redeem man God had to bleed. To create man God had to speak man into existence but to save man God had to bleed.
To create me God had to speak me into existence, but for the sins I commit God had to bleed.
