Adverbs are the lazy man’s way to penning fiction. The mission of any worthy writer (not merely a storyteller) is to eliminate as many adverbs as possible—in not only our dialog tags but also our narrative and our descriptive writing; we want to activate our… Continue

Working When You're Not Feeling Well

This past Saturday I strained an abdominal muscle, and have been in some serious pain in the days following. It wasn't until I figured out how to immobilize myself in Eric's recliner on Sunday that I began to feel some relief. By Monday, I still wasn't feeling anywhere near normal, but had some tasks that HAD to be completed, so I set out to do those first thing, and then back to the recliner for more… Continue

“Just thought I’d let you know that after yesterday’s blog appearance, my blog received 547 hits. Any time you need someone to host, you know where I am!”

But, a lot of people just don’t have the time to be a blog host, or they just don’t want to get involved.
Well, let me tell you a secret. It’s a real cool thing to be a blog host and I’ll…

Company in my bathtub...

Not a pleasant one, I might add. Like most of you, Sundays are dedicated to the Lord, the family, and friends. Sometimes, I indulge in a spa treatment including a mint aroma detox bath.

I told hubby about my plan. Moments later he called out from the bathroom. “Don’t get…
