Poem: If I Were...

If I were...

truly illuminated, what would you see?

Could the brightness of Christ fully shine

and the persona of me disappear?

If I were...

gifted, in other unknown ways.

Would I be able to discover them

or would I choose to deny them anyway?

If I were...

blessed, beyond Earthly needs.

How much of myself would I be willing to share,

besides just money and possessions?

If I were...

eloquent, in my verbose… Continue

Poem: Human Warranty

Etched into the soul's fine print
should be the motto "Handle with Care";
but Man's nature to ignore instruction
is manifested in Life's disrepair.

To have God's Word in written form
could be viewed as a "Human Warranty",
where divine ground rules for all
has abundance in the best that Life can be.

On a more personal note, I am a big believer and user of the Secret. Im sure you have all read about it or seen the movie about it or know someone who has. I am not only a practitioner of it, I write about it as well.… Continue

Writing Secrets

I've added an installment on using -ing forms in fiction writing. My pet peeve is the inappropriate use of the present participle. Check it out at www.ldalford.com under "Writing Secrets."

You also get to read a little from my newest novel, Shadowed Vale--unpublished as of yet.

Sacred Dance

E’camotmowat

Sanctuary

The power of the dance is universal, both in time and place. It is confined to no one nation, no period of ancient or modern history, and no strata of human culture. When combined with the sacred sound, a vibration of thought that’s realized and expressed as the “Song of Creation,” it becomes something of a paradox... an oppositional force that straightforwardly expresses its own… Continue

#3 WANT IT ALL? THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY!

The ego always tells us the opposite of what is actually true from the perception of God/Source. And it always thinks in terms of ‘EITHER-OR.’ Either we have to be nice all the time or speak our mind and be a bad person. Either we are rich and evil or poor and righteous. Either be loved and accepted but a doormat OR be rejected but not allow ourselves to be used. These are but a few of the many fear based EITHER/OR beliefs we hold (mostly in our subconscious) that create the current reality we… Continue

BookBuzzr Interviews Prolific Author Clint Adams

Can you tell us about yourself?

First off, thanks so much for the interview, Vikram. I sincerely appreciate what you do. Summing up 51 years…OK, let me try. Done. Well, since genetics made becoming a male stripper an impossibility, I turned to writing instead.

Wholeheartedly I believe that we're all here for a reason. Mine (I feel): to help adults and teens who struggle. Whenever I write a novel or even blog, I always try to imagine how my words are relevant,… Continue

It's All Worthwhile

I received a response by Liza yesterday to a post I’d made on Dreams of Artists (on www.gaia.com) months ago. It was a post about creating a web presence and all the effort required. I for one sometimes wonder if all that effort is worthwhile. But…I then received an email from someone I’ve never met out of the blue this morning and, frankly, this one note makes it all worthwhile. I’d like to share it with you below.

Dear John,

On Friday . . .being the 21st August, I was in… Continue

Citizen journalist: Starting to see some media coverage of Mississippi, Tallahatchie County Mob Chase

Nice to see this story picked up by an online journalist http://is.gd/2MeqZ

She has written about the killing of Emmett Till 54 years ago in the Mississippi Delta and about the mess that is going on today.

I'm also hearing that the old bloke prosecutor who allegedly was involved in this incident last week is shaking in his boots now that the FBI and DOJ have landed. Apparently, Rep. Bennie Thompson made a swing through… Continue
