Carol's Blog – February 2009 Archive (2)

As I mentioned in my last post, I began writing a new short story to flex my muscles. I don't know about you, dear reader, but I have a heck of a time getting my words down on paper. Maybe not to the degree James Joyce did, he was happy with 7 words a day, but still having difficulty.



The good news is that I do continue slogging away at it, even if I only get a paragraph down. I'm trying to get to know my characters, and it's already led to a few surprises for me in the discovery… Continue

I signed up for a short story writing class with "Gotham Writers" in Manhattan which will begin in mid-April, so I've decided to begin flexing my short story writing muscles.



I began writing a new story yesterday and it's been tough going. I'm really just getting back into writing after a long hiatus. I've been thinking increasingly about it over the past year based on the work I'm doing with a friend - I'm helping him edit his novel.
