I cannot even share my experience with you as I've never had one. By going into a social network site (Goodreads/Facebook/MySpace/other Ning/etc.) and joining a group of published authors, they'd love to share their lists of do's and don't's.

That's the marvelous thing about this world of authors--wonderful people who are always there for you...all you have to do is ask.
