Hello All, It's good to read about the many different visions and themes we writers want to share. My novel is entitled Sojourner's Dream. It is the story of two ambitions people. One of them is a young lawyer from Rwanda, and the other is a graduate student. The story takes place during the 1990s, during the time leading up to and during the Rwandan genocide.

Hello Everyone,

I'm new to the site and love the theme of your group. I've published a book that I believe will help others in their struggles. My message is one of grace, redemption, forgiveness and finding a resting place. I want individuals to know that just because we fall down doesn't mean we can't get back up.

I'm glad to be member - I have my first book proposal ready and would like to make few or no mistakes. "You Just Know" (working title) is a memoir/how-to that talks to women and girls about self esteem, team building and knowing that, no matter what, you are enough,

Hello all, I have just joined up so a big hello from Edinburgh where the International Book Festival has just finished, and I managed to sell 4 books... a start and not bad for a complete unknown self published author writing Visionary Fiction...I guess thats the category I fit into.

I hope to take time in the next few weeks getting to know the site and meet a few people. I invite you to become my friend and if you have time come listen to chapter one of "When We All Dream Together" which I have recorded and put on my page.

Whats my message?

140 years ago or so we got the telephone.
When the first transatlantic cable was laid spiritualism boomed.
Now we could talk afar.
Now we have the internet and our consciousness is changing. We are connected, or atleast we are more aware how extraordinarily interconnected we are. Even our dreams are more alive these days.
When We All Dream Together is a light hearted romp through 13 kindred spirits who one by one meet up in their lucid dreams. They are helped to meet up by a tribe of telepathic cool black cats and a couple of Dream Wizards and if they can meet up together in the flesh will trigger the dream revolution.
I wrote it when a "big dream" reoccured nine years after first coming to me. I wrote it down and then just kept on going, two years later it was polished up and ready to go...begging to be a film I think.

Glad to be aboard...oh I'll add some of my didge music for your enjoyment too.

Bye
Love ken

Hello all,

I love the topic of this group. Every story for me as an author, has a message. There are messages burning inside me that I must express. Those are also the kind of stories that I love to read, ones where there is a deep, personal struggle and larger than life events going on that define us, challenge us and show us what we are really made of...

My co-author & I have two sequels planned (the first is underway) to Secret of the Sands, making it a trilogy, and they are/will be loaded with messages and intense personal struggles for the main characters. I think through life, as we ourselves experience difficulties, triumphs, challenges, and defeats, writers pour all of that into their stories, and their characters. I certainly do, things that I think about the world, that cause me pain, that make happy or angry, or that I find mysterious, I explore through my stories. It can be an exorcism of sorts, it can be liberating, and for me is often a relief. I have three more solo novels planned and each one is about something I feel incredibly passionate about - writing novels is how I can fully express that passion in all its facets...

I believe all authors have a message to share; that is why we write.
