Profile Information

Something About Me and My Book:
Me: Born in Washington D.C., I lived in Los Angeles until joining the Army Military Police in 1975. I served two stateside tours and two tours in Germany. The final duty in Germany found me in Berlin where, among other duties, I worked at the Allied Checkpoint Charlie prior to the fall of the Berlin Wall. Leaving the military in the latter part of 1982, I settled with my family, in the Piney Woods area of Northeast Texas, almost equidistant between Dallas, Texas and Shreveport, Louisiana. I continued in civilian law enforcement until 1990 when I began work with the Texas Attorney General's office. In 1999 I pursued another career change and entered the Information Technology field and now work with the local school district.

My Book: In an attempt to rebuild her life, Jeanette relocates to a quiet little town, after spending ten years in the military and suffering a failed marriage. But Jeanette is a precog; able to see the future. It scares her and causes her to question her sanity. Matters are complicated further when she meets the man of her dreams and what follows is a series of events that threaten to push her over the edge. Now she must deal with new challenges in her career, struggle with increasing psychic abilities, and come to grips with her feelings for a man she wants to love but fears she cannot.

Nightrun Trailer: The Other Helen

These are two of the "Women of Nightrun" trailers for my upcoming Nightrun series. The elder Helen may actually be my favorite character in the series. She's bright and funny but can turn dark and dangerous in the blink of an eye. The other Helen, called "Two", while possesing many of the same traits as her name sake, tends to be angrier and more driven. Seperately, they are formidable. However, when they finally combine their talents... things heat up. Be well,
William

Wild ride? I guess, so. Sometimes I think my theory is that a writing career is only right if done completely wrong.

Well, the book signing went well. Sold 41 books and signed several that were brought by people who'd previously purchased copies. See the interview video. All-in-all I was rather pleased with the turn-out.

Hi William,

I would like to invite you to join my Ning Book Marketing network. I have been a published author for many years and love to network with others who have a passion for writing and publishing.

If you get a chance, please visit my blog to read my special feature called The Author’s Corner. This week’s featured author is Nikki Leigh. http://www.kathleengage.blogspot.com Nikki shared some excellent tips on how an author can market themselves.

Have a great day.

Thank you Colleen, for the well wishes. While I'm no longer holding my breath in anticipation, I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Jack... I don't eat barbeque. It's too messy. But knowing the wife, we'll probably have some brisket.

Be well,
William

Thank you so much for your compliments, William! I wish you all the best with your book signings next week. Oh wow... that's tough for you to be up against high school football for TV coverage. I know that is a tough competitor, for sure! In any case, good luck with it, let me know how it goes for you. Have a great weekend!

Well... I took a leap and uploaded a piece of music I'm working on. The hope is to create something for the next incarnation of the book site's Flash video. Let me know if it's horrible.

Hi William,
You have some really great observations about cats. Funny thing is, I was not much of a cat person until my son brought one home from college several years ago. Then I was hooked!

BTW, I checked out your website and your book information, including the videos. Very well done! The story sounds compelling. I wish you all the best, and thank you for the friendship.
Colleen
