This was a social week. I was invited to a swanky book release party. The book was the annual Las Vegas Business Press' Book of Lists. The party was held at one of the new $1M+ home developments in the valley. The house was, to say the very least, incredible. I've added it to my wish list! My husband and I along with others that volunteer with us work a homeless ministry, Homeless Advocates of Texas (HAT) and we go to the downtown Dallas shelter and have luncheons.
We also pull up in the parking lot across from the shelter and pop our trunk and men / ladies come over to the car and we hand out clothing, coats, blankets, toiletries and more. All of the items come from people like you.

I thought many of you would like to know about this new writers conference at a fabulous resort on an island off Georgia--one loaded with history. I have been slow on the uptake but have now (finally) joined Twitter - it is great for authors!! you can hook up with other authors, publishers, agents and get the latest interesting posts
When I imagine Whale Song as a major motion picture, I smell hot buttered popcorn. Really. If I close my eyes and picture a scene from my novel being played out on a big screen, I can almost TASTE the popcorn.
I've even gone so far in my little fantasy to imagine the conversations that people have as they leave the theatre...
