For book/ebook authors, publishers, & self-publishers
I would like to say how happy I am to be here and to tell you a little bit of who I am. I run the Pump Up Your Book Virtual Book Tours, along with my assistant, Jamieson Wolf. Both of us are authors and both of us know what it takes to promote books. Thus, our virtual book tours company was born.
Before we started this company, both of us were authors (and still are, of course) and we both were looking for ways we could use our…

I just completed a major dose of literary genre fiction when I finished reading Ann Packers' The Dive From Clausen Pier. This novel was named "One of the Best Books of the Year" by Entertainment Weekly, Newsday, San Francisco Chronicle, and San Jose Mercury News. It's been made into a "Lifetime" original movie. It was a national best seller. It's accolades are numerous and include "genuine suspense," "a page turner," "incredible detail," "exceedingly real," etc.
I recently posted a…

Now I am sure many of you have your horror stories about airlines and airports. I know that I can share a story or two with you. I was recently made aware the passengers are not the only ones to suffer from the many things that can occur on air planes or the airports. Flight attendants share in the inconvenience and hassle that we as passengers share. Here a story that got me to have a…

Ok, well now that I've got your attention, I guess I have to explain the title of today's blog post. Yesterday, I visited the Chapters in Langley, BC. As we pulled into the parking lot, my first reaction was: "Wow! They even have people outside waiting to greet me...and they're handing out invitations to my signing." As we got closer, I saw it was a couple of protesters. So much for my special welcome...darn! :)
Upon entering the store, however, I was met with a great…

Tonight I had my signing at Pinetree Chapters in Coquitlam, and I was welcomed in a way that made me feel like I was home. Linda, the manager, met me at a table that was already set up with copies of Whale Song and a sign announcing my book signing.
The staff was all very friendly. Many of them came over to the table and asked about all three of my titles. Caitlin and Pali rang in my sales until closing time. Earlier, I witnessed Pali making an elastic attack…

Hi, all my friends!
It has been a while before I finally have some time and mood to write something for my blog. Let me start by telling everyone my good news. Yes! My book has been featured in Singapore main paper called "The Sunday Times".
Here was the article that featured the content from my book.
So how did I do it? I'm on the internet surfing for new trends most of the time but…

Well, I had my first Vancouver book signing as part of my BC tour today. Metrotown Chapters in Burnaby has great store staff and a fun energy. And they sure no how to make a visiting author feel special.
Not only did they have a table waiting for me, they had copies of Whale Song set up on a blue wheely! :) Not every author gets one of those.…

There is one thing that I have no tolerance for and that is anyone that harms or attempts to harm a child. Recently there was a girl who was found after being missing for nearly a year. The circumstances surrounding her being found were really quite bazaar. Police went to a home in West Hartfard…
