Time, time, time

Well, here it is a week - or has it been two - and I haven't come back to my page. It has sat forgotten and forlorn. Well, since this is an inanimate object, maybe I should leave it at forgotten. This, somehow, never makes it onto my to-do list. Maybe it's because I already have a website to maintain and a newsletter to put out. And a book to write. That doesn't always leave me with a lot of leftover time. So I'm wondering how other writers find time to blog on a regular basis. And how many… Continue

My God Box - Parable of the Incorrigible Child

My God Box is Margaret’s memoir about her abusive childhood. She lived in a receiving home for battered children called Juvenile Hall, a ‘carousel’ of foster care families, a mental health facility and on the streets of California-- all before the Holy Ghost impregnated her heart with a love of God, planting in her mind an iron clad faith in the Divine Creator.

Labeled an ‘incorrigible’ child, Margaret was pulled from school and her friends, and banished from the family home.…

How to Get People to Buy Your Book - Free Promo Opportunity

Promo is meant to entice the reader to buy your book but there are many other things that come into focus. Is this a book the reader is interested in? Is this a genre that the reader enjoys? Is this a book that is recommendable?

The key thing to remember is that no promo is going to work for you unless the book is recommendable and something the reader is interested in.

So, how do you make your book recommendable to the point where everyone…

A START FOR ME

I'd like to share some news with my friends and members of BMN. Jen Bosveld, the editor of Pudding House Publications, has accepted one of my poems chapbooks for publication. The notice of my book is as follows. TITLE: FLICKA (ROUTINGS ON THE GREEN GRASS). CONCEIT: Flicka, the name of a filly (featured in a popular novel published in the middle of the 20th century), is personified in bouts of erotic depression that carry the poet through his depressive episodes to a resolution of them in mind… Continue

What would you do?

I would like to know what and how you would deal with someone who is jealous of you? How would you deal with this person if they spend so much time harrassing you, defaming you and your good name?

I know this is a strange thing to ask but I have reason and am looking for answers. thanks for any and all help.
