Great News from Canada

BannerFans.com

I'm delighted and amazed to have discovered that today, 'A Study in Red - The Secret Journal of Jack the Ripper' achieved its highest ever sales ranking at Amazon.ca. It was listed at number 1,475 in their rankings. It's never even been that high in the UK or USA where it has done very well indeed and I'm so pleased that it has recorded such a great ranking in the country… Continue

This Week 200

The big news this week, my poem, Shifting Sand, has been selected for publication in the upcoming issue of the literary journal Mused. This is the second poem they've chosen and I have to give some credit to Laudably Tarnished, the poetry workshop I participate in each month. Workshops are a great way to improve your writing. If there isn't a group near you to join, why not start one? That's how our poetry group came to be.

We're into week three of NaNoWriMo. My plot needs some work,… Continue

Call for Submissions

I just finalized a contract with the publisher for my next book about business growth, due out in fall 2009. As with my previous books, the new book will include interviews with those who have achieved success. I am looking for compelling stories about business growth - those who overcame challenges, have a unique story to tell and who have crossed over into a bigger level of business success. If this sounds like you, please send me an e-mail… Continue

‘Food’ for Thought - Part I

Societal choices, more often than not, are the result of expediency, statistical fallacy, sentiment, political or media pressure, or personal prejudice and vested interest.”

Thankful

1Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD.

2Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.

3If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?

4But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

5I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.

6My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch… Continue

New Review for KEY LIME SQUEEZE

There are a few books that you begin to read and know you in for a treat! Key Lime Squeeze is one of those rare books. Be prepared to miss meals, appointments and phone calls as you join Joe Banks on his adventures.

From the first page, to the last line, this exhilarating novel takes its readers on a roller coaster ride of emotions, tears, laughter, intrigue and tension. Trying to out-guess the plot is a waste of time. Even the good guy/bad guy border is hard to define. Just when you feel… Continue

Reader Reviews from Amazon

Great book on a tough topic

By K. Grawitch

As a school social worker who works with children and teens, I try out books of all kinds that might speak to kids. 'For Love of Teddy' is a terrific choice for anyone who wants to broach the topic of drug use and the importance of making good choices with preteens and teens. It could be used with a classroom group or at home with your own children. The subject matter is serious, but the author approaches it in a realistic, but not… Continue
