Tips to promoting our books.

This is what helped me when I got started in book Publishing.

Let the media – both online and traditional such as newspapers – know about your creation and you could end up with the kind of press coverage that turns books into bestsellers.

What's a Press Release?

A press release is a short notice of something the media might be interested in using as a…

It's called Blog Rush, and it automatically puts fresh content related to your site your blog--constantly.

God, Your Neighbor, and You

If someone came to you needing food, clothes or other kinds of help, what would you say? What would you do? Would you reach into your pantry, pocketbook or closet and give what is needed? Would you refer them to a faith-based or secular organization that you know can provide what is needed? If you know there is no…

A Wonderful Weekend

Just returned from the WOW CONFERENCE. WOW describes the weekend perfectly. Combine plenty of information, networking, fun with fabulous people and you'll understand why they call it THE WOW. If you're a writer of fiction, non-fiction, screenwriting or poetry, there was something here for everyone. Tim Dorsey, Florida's fave mystery author, regaled the crowd with his downhome humor. He defends his perennial serial killer, Serge, saying, "He's a lovable guy. Only kills bad people, not good…

Around The Insurmountable Mountain

The 'insurmountable mountain' all of us seem to face is time . . . time to give all these hundreds of marketing sites time and still have time to write and live up to the other countless demands on our time by all the responsibilities in our lives.

I have met so many nice and interesting writers in places like this and its many counterparts. Everyday my email box is filled with messages of friend invites, comments made here and there, and information on other authors' work and…

NY Post recommends my book!

Wow, I was flattered and shocked and excited when I learned that
Mike Vaccaro, sportswriter for the NY Post mentioned my book, "The
Knuckleball From Hell," in a recent column of his as a recommended
read. Here's the link:

Angel's Dance

Hi Everyone,

I thought I'd introduce myself by telling you a bit about my book, "Angel's Dance: A Collection of Uplifting and Inspirational Poetry." I began writing poetry in 1999 as a form of expression for my own enjoyment. I never had the intention of sharing it with the world until my son, who was 4 years old at the time, wanted me to read him my poems in lieu of a bedtime story. It was his ringing endorsement that really gave me the courage to try it out on others. After years of…

Circles

I just added a few songs. The first song that plays, "Circles," is the inspiration behind the title poem of my book, "Angel's Dance." I loved this song from the first time I heard it. Here's the excerpt from by book:

Angel’s Dance was inspired by an incredibly beautiful song written and performed by Jim Brickman. “Circles” immediately entranced me,…

HELP ME REACH 1,000,000 TEENAGERS!

HELP ME FIGHT TEEN DRUG ABUSE!

This is not just a book promotion effort. Many books are written just to entertain; others are written to send a message. A MAINE CHRISTMAS CAROL is a holiday message to fight teen drug use. Set in contemporary Hallowell, Maine, this retelling of the Dickens classic focuses on the issues that affect today's teens including drug and alcohol abuse and teen… Continue

The Insurmountable Mountain

It struck me this morning that all we authors are standing before an insurmountable mountain. It exists in this physical realm, as does everything, for a purpose. This mountain exists to force us all into finding a new path around it. A new philosophy of life, perhaps. Or, a recognition of a philosophy already in place since the beginning of Creation. A Natural Law that forms the foundation of existing in a Web of Life.

Quite a lofty thought to face one so early in the day. I'll…
