For book/ebook authors, publishers, & self-publishers
I've been reading Kindle eBooks and must say The Mill River Recluse by Darcie Chan is a good read. I'm currently reading Daddy's home by A.K. Alexander. The Wedding Gift by Marlen Suyapa Bodden and Ransom Beach by Lawrence Kelter are on my list to read. I enjoy titles by new authors and have found Amazon a great place to search for new titles.
ebook authors and self publishers will have their biggest year yet in 2012 and I look forward to the success stories to come.

I think I may have discovered why my sales increased so dramatically the other day. It has nothing to do with a marketing promo suddenly taking off or someone posting a rave review and recommendation. I believe my increase in sales was due to Kindle error. I posted a few notes on the KDP forum about my jump in sales and it seems that I’m not the only author that this happened to. It appears Kindle had made some mistakes in their counters and the recent jump in numbers was them finally…

Asking the wrong questions
When you ask the wrong question of course you will not get the right answer.
How can the question be wrong, I hear you say. Sometimes people just don’t think; let me show you what I mean.
London Evening Standard Tuesday 27th July 2010 P ippa Crerar says ‘I don’t want to find God to find a good school’. It is, perhaps, a rhetorical…

A friend of mine died today – a true friend. I was once told that you could go through life and count the number of your true friends on one hand. I believe that, and now I have one less finger to work with.
My friend would sometimes look me in the eye and say, “I like you, don’t you ever forget that, I like you!” He would then give me one of his “Hook ‘um horns” type patented handshakes - an honor bestowed not on many – only his “runnin’ mates,” “or…

The free promotion of SILENT INVASION seems to have worked. I don’t know if someone put it as a recommendation on their website, or if someone posted a blog about it, or that people who have read my other books liked them and now want to read this one. But last night in a period of about two hours I sold nearly 80 copies in the U.S. and U.K. combined. At one point my Amazon ranking fell below the 5,000 mark. It’s now back up into the 20,000 range. It is quite a rush to see the sales numbers…

I've been having a lot of discussions with indie authors about develpoing your market and your target audience. While I am still defining where I need to be concentrating my time from a marketing standpoint for The Time Of My Life, I reflected on books for which I became someone's audience and why.
So here are some recent reads for me: Getting Inby Karen Stabiner. Its a book about five families and the lengths they have to go to to get their kids accepted to the…

It's good to know the road is there even when you can't see it.
Through a bunch of things happening in my life just now, I have not had much occasion to actively market my book. However, it's good to see that the RSS feed is bringing in my blog postings on this page. I've been concentrating more on my blog and on Facebook in the last while. I also started a more "Christian" blog called Iconoclastic... not as widely viewed but it targets a more narrow slice of my market. That's…
