2009 West Virginia Book Festival in Charleston

This year's trek from Philadelphia down to the2009 West Virginia Book Festival in Charleston was the last of three book fairs that my family and I have attended over the past three weeks. The indoor event held at the Charleston Civic Center was a welcome change from having to deal with the temper tantrums that Mother Nature threw during the fairs in Maryland and New Jersey. During the two day event I had the pleasure of meeting many fans of sci fi and fellow authors. Sales of my 2012… Continue

All America Bloodline Blues

[This is cross-posted from my main blog at FarrFeed. I'm publishing it here to see if this network is alive or dead! :-) What you really ought to do is read it there, because my graphics are way cooler than what works on these pages, AND there's an actual bull elk mating call sound you can play! The Biggest Case Scenario of Abuse

The Biggest Case Scenario to the continuation of “The Lives of Abused and Battered Women”

Men have gotten by with abusing women for centuries. When the first man got by with it I feel that it gave the other men the nerve to abuse their women also. If the men had been judged, or condemned for their actions this would never have lasted this long. At the first sign of abuse, if we women would have stood up for our rights, or did… Continue

#9 YE OLD ‘F’ WORD AGAIN! OUCH! LOOKING FOR ‘FINANCIAL’ SECURITY? HELLO! FINANCIAL SECURITY ISN’T SECURE AT ALL!

I cringe when someone says they are seeking ‘financial security’ because I know they are coming from an ego illusion! Security doesn’t come from how much money we have or don’t have. Security doesn’t come from having what we think we have to have…before we can be happy or ‘secure.’ Security doesn’t come from the acceptance and approval of any other human being in this world. Security doesn’t come from obtaining a long list of goals. There is only one security in this world and we are only… Continue

I'm so pleased that 'A Study in Red - The Secret Journal of Jack the Ripper' was recently selected as the book of the month by a readers Book Club some thirty miles from my home. I didn't know anything about it until I was told by one of the members who I happened to meet socially. Consequently each of the Book Club members had to buy a copy, and it was then read and discussed by the membership. I'm pleased to say that they appear to have… Continue

A portion of Chapter Two from my Novel "My Mind's Telling Me No"

Forgoing the last message I decided to go upstairs and climb into the tub to relax. When I walked into my bedroom I immediately flung my heels across the room.
