Excited to be here

I'm excited to be here and thrilled to be a published author. Our book was just released at the end of September, and we're getting positive feedback from our readers. I'm interested in sharing promotional ideas with people.

We have a publicist and have sent out our first press release. I've had a book signing that went well and an interview coming out in the local newspaper. These are fun times!!

My book on the auction block

I donated 3 copies of my book, SILENCED CRY, to be sold at auction this past week to benefit our public television station, WIPB. I'm not quite sure how it happened or how much the books sold for, but all three copies were sold by the time they put the books on the board for bids. The announcers seemed surprised by it--I don't think I've ever seen that happen before either.…

Web Marketing for Authors: Is Your Author Website Credible and Findable?

Many authors have their own websites under their own domain names to help promote their works. Those who do not may use other web-based tools such as Bookmarket.ning.com, MySpace, Face Book, or other social networking venues.

My question to authors is, "How's your traffic?" Are you getting the…

Stickiing your neck out can hurt, but it's worth the pain.

I experienced that very thing recently. With convictions stirring in my heart, I penned my thoughts regarding the filth that fills TV and movie theaters. Phew! Did I get blasted big time. Here’s an excerpt of what I wrote:…

Anyone participating in NaNoWriMo this year?

For the past two days, I've been writing until my fingers turned numb just to say that I'm participating in this years National Novel Writing Month. So far, my word count is just shy of 4 thousand. I suppose I'm doing ok but yet to me it doesn't seem like much; maybe because I'm just starting. Anyone else taking part this year? What are your thoughts? What are you writing about? Curious minds want to know!

Think that danger only comes in large packages? Think again! In Hungary there's a sweet little creature called the Nora. Looking like a normal human but only a fraction of the size, this monster attacks women who are considered to be immoral; biting them on the breasts and sucking out the blood.

As a result of these attacks the victims suffer an allergic reaction, causing the afflicted area to swell up; revealing to all both the Nora's attack and the iniquity of the woman! This painful…
