For book/ebook authors, publishers, & self-publishers
Had a great day today! I first sent off three books that are on their way to Charis Books and More in Little Five Points, Atlanta. Then we drove down to New Orleans to hit some of the indie bookstores to see if I could get I Wandered from New Orleans onto some real bookstore shelves. It was a great success! Some books were bought outright, some were placed on consignment. Brilliant day! So, for my NOLA peeps and pops who want to check it out firsthand and pick up a…

Today, November 30th is the official release date for this novel. To date I had not had Ally Condie on my radar as an author I had wanted to read, but in the attempt to spread my wings a bit and find new
stuff to read I followed a suggestion from a Goodreads friend and took the ride
with Ally and her strong willed main character Cassia. Here is the situation in
which she finds herself:
” Cassia has always trusted the…

I’m back after missing a few Tuesday posts. My competitive side came out while I tried to prove to myself I could succeed at this contest. On Sunday, I pasted into the NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) site what is to be my next book. I modestly put 51,900 words in my word estimate updater. The validater totaled 52,028 words. That puts me well over the 50,000 I needed. According to the site that makes me a winner along with most of the 36,000 plus other contestants.
Last year,…

It is about time, a new Dirk Pitt novel. I have read them all and say that with a certain degree of satisfaction. I love to be entertained by Clive Cussler with this character and band of off- beat friends
and coworkers at NUMA. I know what to expect when I crack the novel open and
Crescent Dawn is no exception. Here is what the novel is about:”Three events,
distant in time and space: A treasure-laden fourth century Roman galley
narrowly escapes a…

The Age of Self Publishing
Up until recently I didn’t think I was old enough to really say, “back in the day”, but apparently at a ripe 31 years old, I am. Back in my day, cell phones were a luxury and pagers were the sign of the times. Back in
my day, there was no Facebook or Myspace. Back in my day, all of our books were
hardcover or paperback.
I look around me now and…
