Many individuals don’t go after their dream because they don’t think they can, should, it’s too small, or “don’t know” what it is. Are any of these holding you back?
Two inspirational videos were emailed to me: one about a dog named Ricochet and one about Rudy Ruettiger, for whom the popular movie Rudy is about. The links are available on the Resources page of my Website, and that link is in my bio. Both are worth a watch, especially if you feel life purpose- or…

Did you get the answer to this question immediately? Horace said, “Life is largely a matter of expectations.” Expectations have a lot to do with the one thing you can control.
There is one thing in life you have absolute control over: Your attitude.
An excellent quote to remember is, “Pain is inevitable; suffering is optional” (Bruce Schneider, Founder/Director of iPEC). A fact of life is that pain visits all of us at one time or another. What we choose to do with it…

Here's a really cool idea. I've done this for some of my clients book illustrations that I created - and it's been a big hit.
Take the cover of your book and upload it to a site such as
www.jigzone.com and create a puzzle out of it - then post it to your website or blog as fun entertainment for those who need to take a break.
Continue to add your illustrations or photos as puzzles to keep things interesting - or create a page that…

The Lives of Abused and Battered Women
reviewed by Irene Brautigam
Barbara
I have just finished reading your book with a box of tissues beside me. I must say that although I have had some bad relationships in my life, I really felt your pain to be greater and women everywhere should be thankful that you have shared your personal experiences with them. This took a tremendous amount of courage on your part to tell your…

This once taboo of a black man seeking and being seen with a white woman is no more. Not too long ago black men were beaten to death or lynched for this very act.
I don't know if it's due to the election of Barack Obama to the presidency, or everyone now sees racism in this country as dead and buried; but it seems to be a growing trend to see a "brotha" on the arms of a Caucasian woman these days.
Are they trying to say that a black man being seen with a white woman is an honor…

Yesterday I was interviewed on the radio that will air on Sunday, Nov 8th on a local FM station called WASH FM. The host was Lori Brooks and she has a program on Sunday mornings (early) called "Women of Vision" and the interview went well. I was on her show just over a year ago and afterwards there was a big spike on the web site and I also got a call from this nice gentleman who told me to call this lady, because he knew she had a special dream. I did and it's one of my favorite stories in the…

The Biggest Case Scenario to the continuation of “The Lives of Abused and Battered Women"
Men have gotten by with abusing women for centuries. When the first man got by with it I feel that it gave the other men the nerve to abuse their women also. If the men had been judged, or condemned for their actions this would never have lasted this long. At the first sign of abuse, if we women would have stood up for our rights, or did what ever it took to show the men that they…

My book comes out in just a few weeks and it has taken me over two years to get here. What I have found is that the book, (which I know I was suppose to write after ten years of researching and not finding any answers to my own experience) is taking me on a journey and so I thought it would be good to share what I have learned along the way.
Not only did I find out more about this dream experience by interviewing over 300 people but also in the last year by taking my book across the…

Who Would I Be Without, Based on a True Story of a Little Willingness, by Jim McDonald. One reader calls it a self-help novel that demonstrates rather than informs.
Avaialble now on Amazon.com. The story of an ordinary man who stopped trying to change things in his life when he realized trying was the cause of his suffering. He stopped trying to change and instead began to honestly look at who he was right now, with often gut-wrenching honesty, changed happened on its own and his…

Extra Sensory Perceptions (ESP)
“A human being is conditioned since birth. Learning language, enhancing vocabulary, acquiring motor skills for movements, learning vocals, basic expressions, gestures, territories and identities, emotions, fight or flight syndrome, processing so many forms of inputs from so many sources. Doing all this using a tiny ‘limited brain’ creates havoc upon the ‘unlimited’ nature of higher mind.
All extra sensory perceptions require two basic…

Most people go to work day after day and there are things that must be completed. Plus there are new tasks being handed out for that day. It can be stressful because there are deadlines and not everything runs smoothly all of the time. So there may be some frustrations or annoyances that occur. This is simply part of business and will occur from time to time.
There are some ways to lessen the stress that occurs not only for a manager but for the manger's employees. The easiest things…

Expressions like co-operative publishing, joint venture publishing, subsidy publishing, and self-publishing are misleading to say the least. They all mean the same thing, ‘vanity’ publishing. Yet scores of small publishers advertise their services on the web. Some publishers go to great lengths to conceal from the author, all the costs involved, which suddenly escalate half way through production of a book.
There are good vanity publishers just as there are bad. How does an author…

When a dream becomes a reality it is hard to explain the feeling, when a dream becomes a reality can anyone else grasp how you feel? Is that moment unique in the universe or do others also feel what you feel? Maybe they do or maybe they don't? Maybe the moment it is unique because no one else may be sharing it with you at that time unless they are in which case the feeling is probably amplified. However, due to the way we grow as humans and the…

In life, certain things have a way of happening just at the right time. This week’s book publishing news was no exception. I have two quotes below from two senior principles from very diverse areas of the book publishing world, who in their own right believe they are making a difference. Here are the quotes. Follow the theme.
Quote One:
"We regard ourselves as independent in the sense of independence of third-party corporate ownership and feel at home with the other… Continue
